What is 5mm sanitary grade acrylic & a double skinned construction?

5mm sanitary-grade acrylic is a premium thickness that delivers recognised structural rigidity, meaning no flex or movement when you step in or settle back. Thinner baths creak and give; this one holds firm.

 

The double-skinned construction takes it further. Two layers of material with an air gap between them work together to lock in heat, keeping your bathwater warmer for longer and reducing the energy needed to top up with hot water. It also adds an extra layer of rigidity on top of the already-substantial 5mm shell.

 

Together, these two features are what separate a bath that merely looks premium from one that genuinely performs like it.

How do I care for the bath tub?

After each use, rinse the bath with fresh water and a soft cloth to prevent limescale, particularly after using bath salts. Avoid acid or methanol-based cleaners. Don’t use abrasive cloths, especially on chrome parts. Replace worn tap washers to prevent marking. If custom painted, take extra care to avoid scratching.

Does a waste and taps come with the bath?

There is an integrated chrome waste, with the option to purchase an alternative upgrade. Taps should be purchased separately.

Should I tile the wall behind my freestanding bath?

Generally yes, we would recommend this if your bath is within splashing distance of the wall (roughly 300-600mm). Without protection the walls can result in damp and mould. We'd recommend this as a guiding principle with any bath no matter it's shape or size.
