What is an electric pizza oven and how does it work? An electric pizza oven uses built-in heating elements typically above and below the cooking surface to reach the very high temperatures needed for authentic, restaurant-quality pizza. Unlike a conventional kitchen oven, a dedicated electric pizza oven can reach temperatures of 400°C or above, dramatically reducing cook times and producing that characteristic crispy base and perfectly melted topping combination that a standard oven simply cannot replicate.

How hot does an electric pizza oven get? The electric pizza ovens in our range are designed to reach temperatures far beyond what a domestic oven can achieve. Models such as the Cozze Premium Rotate Electric and Firebloom series are capable of reaching temperatures between 350°C and 450°C hot enough to cook a Neapolitan-style pizza in just 90 seconds to a few minutes, depending on the style and thickness of the dough. This is the same temperature range used in professional pizzerias, which is why the results are so markedly different from home oven baking.

How long does an electric pizza oven take to heat up? Most electric pizza ovens reach their target temperature within 15 to 20 minutes, which is considerably faster than a wood-fired oven that can take upwards of an hour to prepare. This makes electric models particularly practical for weeknight cooking, where you want excellent results without the preparation time. Simply switch the oven on, allow it to preheat, and your first pizza can go in within 20 minutes of starting.
