02. DOES IT COME READY TO USE, AND WHAT FITTINGS ARE INCLUDED?

Yes. Muztag heaters are supplied with the correct low-pressure regulator and hose suitable for LPG use, so no additional fittings are required. Assembly involves fitting the wheels, glass panels, and decorative stones, then connecting the regulator to your gas bottle. No professional installation is required, but a gas leak test using soapy water should always be carried out after connecting a new bottle.

03. WHAT FUEL DOES THE MUZTAG RANGE USE?

The Muztag range runs on propane gas (LPG) and is designed to use a standard 13kg propane bottle, which fits inside the heater’s concealed internal storage compartment. The gas bottle is not included, but we do recommend Calor Gas which you can buy from builders’ merchants, petrol stations, and local gas suppliers across the UK. Price per bottle ranges from £45-£60.

04. HOW LONG DOES A 13KG BOTTLE LAST?

Based on typical maximum gas consumption of around 0.52 litres per hour, a 13kg propane bottle can provide up to approximately 18–20 hours of use, depending on flame setting and conditions. The bottle is secured inside the cabinet using the built-in retaining strap for stability during use.

05. HOW MUCH HEAT DOES IT PRODUCE, AND CAN I ADJUST IT?

Selected models in the Muztag range produce up to 7.3kW of heat, which in real terms feels similar to standing a few feet from a traditional pub-style outdoor heater. It’s designed to comfortably warm the immediate seating area around the heater rather than heat an entire garden. The flame height and heat output are fully adjustable using the control knob, so you can dial it down for ambient warmth or increase it when temperatures drop, balancing heat, gas usage, and atmosphere.

07. IS IT SAFE, EASY TO MOVE, AND WHAT SHOULD I KNOW ABOUT PLACEMENT AND WEATHER?

Muztag heaters feature toughened safety glass, flame failure protection, and an automatic tilt safety shut-off that cuts the gas supply if the heater is knocked or not standing upright. Castor wheels with brakes allow easy movement and secure positioning. The heater must be used outdoors only, on a firm, level surface, with at least 2 metres clearance from buildings, fences, and combustible materials. It should not be used in strong wind or heavy rain, and we recommend using the additional rain cover once the heater has fully cooled.

08. CAN I USE IT INDOORS?

No. The Muztag range is designed for outdoor use only and must not be used indoors, in garages, conservatories, tents, or other enclosed or poorly ventilated spaces. These heaters produce real flames and combustion gases, which require open-air ventilation to operate safely. For indoor heating or ambience, an electric or flue-connected indoor fireplace should be used instead.
